How to improve soccer skills in 13 steps
Here is how to improve soccer skills in thirteen steps. Try to have these steps as a checklist while practicing or playing a soccer game.

1. The most important thing to remember is that soccer is not a one man game. Keep in mind that there are 10 more players that you need to share the ball with. If you like to play for your own satisfaction then start with tennis or some other solo sport.

2. Let the ball do the work. Don’t run with the ball at your feet and transport it too much as you will get tired fast. The ball will always be much faster than you, so play smart and avoid running like a Duracell rabbit :-) Try to be more clever than your opponent's and play smart.

3. Always figure out whether you should dribble, pass or run with the ball before you even have received it. This is very important in games where tempo is high.

4. Always try to stress you opponent. This is very important because your opponent will not only need to concentrate on the ball, he/she will also need to keep an eye on you.

5. Never reveal your move too early. Instead, try to trick your opponent and make him unsecure.

6. Usually a soccer game is often concentrated in the center of the field. Try therefore to use your wingers to exploit your opponent’s sides.

7. Try to pass the ball on first touch. This will confuse your opponent's because they will not know how to stop you.

8. Always remain focused on your game. Remember, the game is not over until the referee blows his whistle

9. Always try to do your best and never give up. 10. It is important to communicate with your teammates. Always encourage them (even when they make mistakes) and offer them a passing alternative.

11. Develop your orientation. Good orientation is important because it is not easy to keep control on the ball while watching for a teammate to pass the ball to.

12. Remember that you need to practice often especially on the parts of your game that you need to improve.

14. Never underestimate your opponent's.
