How to Switch the Attack to Score More Goals
The best teams switch the ball continuously, looking for space and probing the opposition's defense for an error.

A Match Winning Strategy

Get your team to keep the game flowing and split defenses by swinging the ball from one side to the other to create space and outnumber the defense. Your team can also release pressure by switching the ball.

The Quick Switch - Blind Pass

* Make this part of your team’s strategy.
* Coach one or two of your midfielders to dribble to the right using the right foot and then swing a ball to the left, sending almost a blind pass. If you have a left footed midfielder (lucky you) get them to dribble to the left side of the field and swing a ball back to the right side of the field with their left foot.
* The defender on the other side will not expect the pass.
* Your team should catch the opposing team sleeping.
* Team-mates will adjust to the expectation that a switch is always coming.

Coaching tip: Tell your team to switch frequently

* Use six small goals on either side of the pitch. A team gets a point if it gets a player to run through the gates in the middle when playing out from the back or 2 points for passing through the end gates. This encourages switching.
* Play offside to keep it realistic.
* Make the gates/goals wide enough to mean there is no use simply putting a player between them to stop a run or pass. Have one player who runs from goal, A to B. If they are in the gate the opposition cannot score.
