INFORMATION ON SOCCER WARM UPS
Before purchasing Soccer Warmups, see the Soccer-Game-Information.com tips and the 4 Common Mistakes people make when purchasing soccer warm ups.

The 4 Common Mistakes

1. If your going to buy soccer warm ups as a Christmas Present, don't wait until November to start looking. Believe it or not, after the end of August, soccer stores have already began to run out of sizes and colors. Often the youth large to adult medium sizes get hit the hardest.

Most of the soccer warmup manufacturers try to have their inventory levels to bare minimums before the end of the year. One of the main reasons is due to the new soccer warm ups for the next year.

Warm Ups - typically come with a jacket and pant, one size determines both pieces of the soccer warm ups, the jacket is usually a full-zip.

2. When you order your soccer warmups ( soccer training suit ), realize that the size you order is for the soccer jacket AND the pants most of the times.

A lot of people need one size for their jacket and another size for their pants. So when you order, order the size of the jacket first then look at whether you can live with the pant size.

A Helpful Hint - depending on the type of pant, sometimes you can get your pants altered. Or just roll up the waist line if your ordering a soccer warmup and you know your pant size is going to be longer than you want.

Training Tops - ordered separately from pants, typically these are a half-zip pull-over top.

3. Are you wanting a jacket with a full zippered front? If you do, you sometimes will have to purchase the full soccer training suit. Several brands only sell the full zippered front jackets as a suit, which means you get the pants too. Adidas is notorious for this.

Are you wanting a jacket with only a half zippered front? In other words it's a Pull-Over. If you do, they usually are sold on their own (the pants are sold separtely). Most brands only sell the half zippered front separately.

"Wind Breakers" are not really in the category of soccer warm ups and are made of different materials, plus they follow different purchasing guidelines. Most are full zippered fronts and the pants are usually sold separately.

Training Pants - ordered separately from tops, drawstring and/or elastic waist, usually has a zippered outside at the bottom of the legs for easy removal.

4. Are you needing adult or youth sizes?

Before you go out and buy the soccer warm up, ask if the retailer carries YXL (youth extra large) sizes.

In a lot of cases the Adult Small and the Youth XL sizes are VERY similar in measurements and you could probably fit into either one comfortably.

The main difference you ask? The YXL is usually cheaper! Something you should really check into if you require those sizes.

Rain Jackets - many come with a concealed hood, sealed lining and inner pockets. They will probably be water resistant and not water proof, meaning: the manufacturer won't guarantee you'll stay dry.

Storm Coats - heavily lined, some are water resistant, hoods are optional, usually has an inside waistband that tightens around the waist to stop drafts from coming up.
