How to perform a Push Pass
Push pass is one of the several different types of passes in soccer and is the most used one. This type of pass is used most because it is the most accurate. It may seem easy to perform it, and you are right, it is, but performing it with accuracy and precision is something you will need to practice many hours on. It’s like with chess, it takes you 5 minutes to learn it, but a whole lifetime to master it.

Performing a basic push pass with the inside of your foot

•Your supporting foot must be pointed in the direction where you want the ball to go.

•The plant of your foot should be next to the ball.

•Your hips should be open to allow your kicking foot to make proper contact with the ball but also to allow a full swing of your leg from the hip.

•Try to bend your knees and also lock your ankle (only for your kicking foot).

•The heel of the kicking foot should be down and the toes should be up.

•Try to strike the middle portion of the ball and follow through stepping towards your passing target with your kicking foot.

This type of pass is the most effective one for short passes. The reason for why this pass is so accurate is because it is pretty easy to lock your ankle when performing it. The best way to practice on this pass is to kick the ball against a wall. The best thing with practicing your passing skills with a wall is that you can come and go whenever you want.

Many great players have started their soccer carriers kicking the ball against a wall. It may sound boring and sometimes it is but I can ensure you that passing accuracy and precision of your passing foot will increase several levels.
