Garrincha Move - How to
The secret with Garrinchas dribbling skill was that his left foot was 6 inches shorter than the other one. This provided him with lower gravity which made it possible for him to dribble fast and perform quick movement while running with the ball.

Without him Brazil would never had won the world cup in 1958 that was hold in Sweden. In this article we will focus on Garrinchas special move a.k.a Stop Hop move.

This is a great move that you should have in your soccer skills arsenal. Keep in mind that the more moves you master the harder you will be to stop because your opponents will never know what you aim to do next. Let’s start…

Here is how to execute the move:

1. Start by driving the ball forward

2. Your speed should be 50 % of your overall maximum speed

3. Now, stop the ball from rolling by using the top of your sole

5. Your left foot should come up now and stay on the ball as you turn to the side

Things to keep in mind

• This move allows you to come to a screeching halt, then turn your body just a little bit and then switch your feet to prepare you for the next move

• Your defender will generally fly by and when he or she gain the balance again you will have the ball shielded by your body

• It is never easy to learn a new soccer move and you should therefore have patience and don’t give up to early

• Don’t be afraid of trying out your moves in a real soccer game. Tell yourself following "What is the point of being able to execute a soccer move if I don’t have enough confidence to execute it"

• Always pass the ball if a teammate is in a better position then you, don’t dribble too much. Keep in mind that soccer is a team sport and there is only one ball on the field, so remember to share it

• Don’t dribble to satisfy the crowd. Instead, use your dribbling skills to beat your opponents and help your team to the victory.
